These rules are in place to ensure fair competition, safety, and respectful conduct for all racers, spectators, and volunteers at Park Speedway. Participation in any event constitutes agreement to these rules.

General Rules & Conduct

  • Turn Marshalling: The top two finishers from each race must marshal the following race. Medical exceptions will be honored.
  • Marshall Conduct: Cars must be returned to the track quickly and safely. No vehicle adjustments may be made.
  • Racer Conduct: Disrespectful behavior toward marshals or officials will not be tolerated.
  • Language: Strong or vulgar language is prohibited. This is a family-friendly city park facility.

Battery Regulations

  • Any 2S LiPo battery permitted
  • Maximum voltage: 8.44 volts (LiPo and LiHV)
  • Batteries subject to inspection during tech

Class Rules

Short Course Modifieds

  • Purpose built/manufactured cars are legal. Ex. GFRP Prodigy
  • Open Motor/ESC
  • Dirt Modified Bodies required. Must be open wheel style body, rendered similarly to 1:1 scale dirt modified bodies.
  • Open tire. Short Course based/sized tires/wheels only.

Street Stock

Electronics:

  • Hobbywing XR10 ESC only
  • Justock 13.5 Brushless Motor only
  • No modifications; stock firmware required
  • Motor must be teched and sealed
  • Authorized tech officials: Gregory Lee or Taulby Donnell

Tires: Open buggy tires; additives allowed

Chassis & Suspension:

  • Any commercially available buggy chassis
  • Rear or mid-motor allowed
  • No adjustable rear arms
  • Any shocks or towers allowed

Body: Street stock appearance, windshield required, 1-inch rear spoiler, no decking

13.5 Late Model

  • Hobbywing XR10 ESC & Justock 13.5 motor only
  • No electronic modifications
  • Motor must be sealed
  • Open Tires (New 2026)
  • 2WD transmission chassis only (no direct drive)
  • ROAR-approved 1/10 Late Model bodies
  • Adjustable rear arms allowed
  • Open shocks and towers

13.5 Non-Wing Sprint

  • XR10 ESC & Justock 13.5 motor only
  • Open tires
  • 2WD transmission chassis only
  • Open shocks and towers

Mod Sprints

  • Open electronics with tuning permitted
  • Open buggy tires
  • Any 1/10 production chassis
  • Open shocks and towers

Novice Class (12 & Under)

  • Stock Traxxas Slash LCG only
  • Stock electronics
  • Stock SC tires and wheels
  • Stock shocks and towers (shims allowed)
  • Reasonable bodies permitted

Super Stock & Sportsman

Electronics Options:

  • XR10 ESC & Justock 13.5
  • 12T motor & Traxxas XL5
  • Traxxas 3382 Waterproof BL-2s™ Brushless Power System
  • Open servo
  • Open choice SC tires/wheels
  • Both LCG / HCG chassis permitted
  • Only stock parts Traxxas parts permitted, except aluminum shock caps and steering arms. RPM upgrades allowed except transmission
  • Super Stock requires late model body / Sportsman can use any body within reason
  • Shocks must be stock Traxxas with stock towers, GTR shocks available for Traxxas Modifieds allowed
