Ask When Something Is Unclear
Confirm questions before modifying or purchasing parts. Race-day officials make the final decision on legality and conduct.
General Conduct
The Park Speedway operates inside a public city park where families, children, racers, volunteers, and park visitors are present.
Respect the Public Park
- Profanity, vulgar language, arguing, and aggressive behavior are not allowed.
- Treat racers, officials, volunteers, families, and park visitors respectfully.
- Bring concerns to track staff calmly instead of confronting another racer.
Sportsmanship
- No yelling at or making disrespectful remarks toward turn marshals.
- Disagreements must be handled through track officials.
- Unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in removal from racing activity.
Turn Marshalling
Turn marshalling keeps racing moving and requires attention, promptness, and respect.
Who Marshals
- The top two finishers from each race marshal the following race.
- Report promptly so the next race is not delayed.
- Notify the announcer before racing if a medical reason prevents you from marshalling.
How to Marshal
- Keep your attention on the cars that are racing.
- Return cars to the racing surface quickly and safely.
- Do not repair, adjust, or work on a car while marshalling.
Battery Rules
The same battery-voltage limit applies across all classes unless a class rule states otherwise.
Maximum Voltage
- Any legal 2-cell LiPo battery may be used.
- Maximum battery voltage is 8.44 volts.
- LiHV batteries are also limited to 8.44 volts.
Inspection
- Batteries may be checked during technical inspection.
- Competition events may include mandatory voltage checks.
- The racer is responsible for presenting a legal battery.
Technical Inspection
Technical inspection protects fair competition and confirms that the car matches the rules for its entered class.
Racer Responsibility
- Each racer is responsible for the legality of the complete vehicle.
- Cars, electronics, batteries, tires, and bodies may be inspected.
- A legal part can still be rejected if it is modified beyond the class rules.
Official Decisions
- Track officials make final race-day technical decisions.
- Ask before building around an unclear interpretation.
- Current posted rules supersede older versions or informal guidance.
