Track History
North Vernon City Park has been a gathering place for racing and community events since the late 1800s. Originally used as fairgrounds, the park once featured a horse-racing dirt oval and grandstand in the early 1900s. The city officially acquired the property as a public park in 1954.
While full-size racing is no longer part of the park, Park Speedway carries on the oval racing tradition through RC competition, blending history with modern hobby motorsports.
